Community engagement is a cornerstone of collaborative, community-rooted coalitions focused on community and economic development. EDOs and CBOs can engage community in a variety of ways and different levels of community involvement, as outlined in the figure below.

This starter kit helps coalitions move from "advisory" roles to empowered, shared leadership.
